You have the power to make your own choices, including what career path you decide to take - so what's stopping you from becoming your own boss? Channel that inner girl boss within you and pursue that passion you've always wanted to dedicate more time to. By being in total control of your career, you may realize three things about this new transition.

You have total control of your own schedule.
Not an early riser? Sleep in girl and catch up on those zzz's! When you are organizer of your own schedule, you will feel more in control of your career, relationships/friendships, and life. Also, planning your own schedule allows you to work on your responsibilities, time management, and prioritizing skills. If you find yourself neglecting your work and always going out with friends, it's best to take a step back and assign yourself a certain time slot to get your work done. With the amazing flexibility of being your own girl boss, you'll find yourself happier being able to attend more social gatherings and events that another workplace can, and will, easily take you away from. You'll never have to worry about FOMO (fear of missing out) ever again.

It's a one-woman team - and it couldn't be better.
As much as teamwork is an important life skill to have, working on projects alone is also a great way to improve and grow. Sometimes, working in a team can lead to heated arguments, unnecessary drama, and not letting your opinions be heard. By working solo, you only have yourself to blame and yourself to praise.

Your creative juices never stop flowing.
Going off of the one-woman team concept, working alone means that all of your ideas will be considered. You are the judge and critic of your own work and there's nobody else around to tell you that you "can't". Never regret anything, because mistakes are meant to be made and you wouldn't be where you are without them. What truly matters is that you recover, move on, and gain a valuable learning experience from your mistakes.

Don't ever tell yourself that you "can't". If you really believe in yourself, just know that you are capable of anything and that your boundaries are limitless. Just because someone hasn't done it yet doesn't mean you cannot. Instead, set the trend and let people's jaws drop with your creative and out-of-the-box ideas. If you're constantly on the fence about pursuing your passion, I'd say just go for it! Isn't it better to try and fail now than to never try at all? And if not now, then when? And what if you succeed - then what? You'll never know the outcome of anything until you wholeheartedly try! So what are you waiting for? Don't waste a minute more and go chase that dream, girlboss!
