As an active Yelp Elite, always-hungry foodie, and passionate lifestyle blogger, I'm always on the lookout for new and exciting locations when it comes to ambiance, trendy foods, and photoshoot-worthy places. There are so many places I have yet to visit on my list of Yelp bookmarks, but I am determined to slowly check off each place one-by-one! My blogger friend, Eva, discovered a beautiful hidden gem in Half Moon Bay called The Barn and we ended up grabbing horchata milkshakes there on a hot summer day. Not only is The Barn a traditional American restaurant that serves delicious food and drinks, but it also has the patio goals that you've always wanted in your own backyard. If you're ever in the Half Moon Bay location, be sure to stop by The Barn - you will not be disappointed.

It was quite busy at The Barn on a sunny Saturday afternoon. Families and their dogs quickly filled up the vicinity as the line from indoors began to grow. Luckily, we found a shady spot underneath an umbrella to share a quick milkshake fix. My Horchata milkshake was better than I expected and I loved how I could taste the authentic taste of horchata ice cream mixed in with milk. On top of the horchata milkshake served in a cute mason jar, the cashier even handed me extra leftovers in another cup - yas to extra ice cream! I definitely want to try the food here next time, as the Grilled Cheese Sandwich our friend ordered looked super mouthwatering!

The patio is definitely a beautiful sight to see with your own eyes. You have the choice of sitting at wooden benches, wooden stumps, or comfortable patterned blankets laid across a gravel patio structure. If you look above from your seat, you'll see outdoor string lights hung beautifully in a criss-cross fashion - #patiogoals, anyone? Also, each table has a decorative bowl filled with utensils, which serves as both a smart and convenient way to save time for both customers and employees when it comes to dining in.

After our savory milkshake fix, Eva and I did what any bloggers would do. Can anyone say photoshoot time?! It was pretty damn sunny while we were there so we weren't able to get a LOT of shots in, but here are a few pictures that we managed to shoot. I wore a comfortable and casual outfit that provided me with a lot of breathing room because there's nothing worse than wearing something super tight and feeling like a sticky mess on a hot day!

In all honesty, I freaking LOVE my Fieldcrest Maple JORD Wood Watch! As soon as I opened the box and tried it on, it was seriously one of the comfiest accessories I've ever worn. I'm typically not a watch person (as I tend to check the time on my phone often), but it serves as a very nice accessory to pair with any casual everyday outfit. Also, I selected light maple because I knew that it would match a majority of my summer wardrobe, as I tend to gravitate towards light colored or pastel pieces.
