BioSpa: A Luxurious Hydrafacial & Dermaplaning Experience
If there was one self-care habit that I admit I do not treat myself to enough, I will be honest that it is getting a hydrafacial. I absolutely LOVE getting hydrafacials and I already know deep down inside, I need to make facial appointments a regular part of my self-care. With this blog post, I might as well start holding myself accountable and tell the world that “I, Michelle, will start scheduling monthly hydrafacials” as one of my 2022 goals, haha!
If you’re ever in Newport Beach, I highly recommend visiting BioSpa at least once in your lifetime. Honestly, this is THE number one medical spa location I go to for hydrafacials and I guarantee that you will not be disappointed with your experience. The quality of their customer service, the overall spa ambiance, and medical spa services always exceed my expectations. Now, I have gotten my fair share of facials at various locations in Orange County, but if you ever asked me which place I would recommend most, it’s BioSpa.
I’ve visited BioSpa a total of three times. Now, if I frequent a place more than once, then you already know that it is worth going back to as a returning customer. Every time that I have visited BioSpa for a hydrafacial, my skin feels soft, hydrated, cleansed, and overall rejuvenated. Additionally, I absolutely LOVE seeing the physical difference in my skin - my pores are cleaned out while my skin is smooth and glowing. Honestly, I always love that feeling whenever I start walking to my car to drive home from my appointment, knowing that I just treated my skin to the ultimate spa experience. It gives me an extra spring in my step whenever I know I do something positive for myself and my body.
The hydrafacial is comprised of many steps, which I absolutely love because I’m all about a detail-oriented, in-depth skincare routine. Not only does the esthetician double cleanse your face in the very beginning to remove any dirt and impurities from your face, but she also takes her time when applying each skincare product. Since I am a huge skincare enthusiast, I always ask the staff a bunch of questions and they are nothing but informative when it comes to helping me learn more about each step. In fact, I have learned so many things from multiple BioSpa staff members and I even went home to buy one of the tools (shoutout to ice globes!) that they used during my second facial because I loved it that much.
However, I do want to be completely transparent that after my dermaplaning and hydrafacial experience, my skin was extremely red for the first two days post-facial - and this is completely normal. However, the redness calmed down by Day 3 and I could feel a huge textural difference in the softness of my overall skin. More specifically, my cystic/hormonal acne on my chin area felt and looked very calm and cleansed compared to its usual red, irritated, and bumpy texture. If you plan to get a hydrafacial before a special event/day, I would recommend scheduling it 3 - 7 days before your event so that your skin will be prepped and ready to go by your special day.
Additionally, I did want to add that I got dermaplaning for the very first time and I was very happy with my first time experience. I see so many influencers and brand ads showcasing dermaplaning on Instagram these days, but I was always clueless on which tool to buy and how to do it. In case you haven’t heard of this popular skincare procedure, dermaplaning is a non-invasive process in which BioSpa helps remove dead skin cells and peach fuzz from the surface of your skin to allow their hydrafacial technology to cleanse, exfoliate, and hydrate at a deeper level. With my positive dermaplaning experience at BioSpa, now I’m able to feel confident if I ever do choose to do dermaplaning at home - but honestly, I’ll probably feel better if I leave it to the professionals, haha. After the dermaplaning process, the staff showed me JUST how much facial hair and peach fuzz was removed from the surface of my skin - and boy, was there a LOT! If you’re ever curious about dermaplaning, be sure to check my BioSpa’s website linked here because they are currently offering a PACKAGE DEAL!
From March 28, 2022 to April 30, 2022: Purchase two hydrafacials and receive two COMPLIMENTARY dermaplaning treatments - this leads to a $170 total savings!
If you follow me on Instagram (@missmisschelle) and want to learn more about hydrafacials, dermaplaning, and/or any other BioSpa services, feel free to DM BioSpa on Instagram and tell them that I sent you (or tell them my discount code MICHELLE10) if you have any questions or would like to move forward with purchasing a medical spa service. Additionally, you can also call them and share this discount code with the BioSpa team for 10% off any treatment at BioSpa (one time use; may not be combined with other offers). You can find their hours and location linked here as well.
One other thing I love is that BioSpa is owned by Pacific Center for Plastic Surgery. In other words, this means that this medical spa is overseen by board-certified doctors. For that reason, they offer a full-range of aesthetic treatments and you can trust that you’ll be in good hands with whichever service(s) you decide to move forward with.
Lastly, a special thanks to the BioSpa team for ALWAYS taking care of me and helping my skin achieve its radiant, dewy complexion every time I leave their spa!
