Just-Moved-Into-A-New-Home Amazon Essentials
By the time you’re reading this, I am pretty much 70 - 80% done moving into my new home. Although I “technically” moved in June 2020, I’ve bombarded with a bunch of installations and difficulties (ex: new dishwasher, new microwave, new oven, new recessed lighting, new ceiling fan, repainted walls, gas leak, etc.) that delayed my actual move to July 2020. Regardless, I am extremely grateful and blessed that I now live in my dream city (with the help of my family) and I wanted to share with you guys a few AMAZON ESSENTIALS that I think every new mover should buy!
Personally, I have purchased and kept all of these essentials from Amazon and have linked them below for you to check them out for yourselves!
Fabric Shaver Rechargeable Lint Remover - Ideal for linty throw blankets, sofas, and clothes! I love how it’s wireless and so easy to use.
Fuzzy Faux Fur Slide Slippers - LOVE these so much that I bought a pair of slippers in every color for myself and guests!
Rubbermaid Cleverstore Large Storage Containers - I recommend this for ANYBODY who needs to store items aesthetically and neatly! Whether you have extra clothes to sell on Poshmark or you want to store away winter coats when you live in Southern California, this is the container to get!
Acrylic Q-Tip Holder (White Marble) - I mean c’mon…who doesn’t want a bougie Q-Tip holder? ;) Little trinkets like these really help boost your mood during self-care routines!
Command Picture Hanging Strips - Perfect to help attach your wall mirror or frames without tearing out the your wallpaper or paint job! I used this to attach my round circular mirror to the wall in my entryway :)
Folding Step Stool - In all honesty, I want another one (or two, heh)! My cabinets are quite high
Steel Blade Measuring Tape - Honestly, I’ve dealt with shitty measuring tapes and they really ruin your mood, LOL. Trust me when I say invest in a better quality measuring tape - you’ll end up using it a lot in the beginning stages of moving!
Grip EasyLiner Shelf and Drawer Liner - I love this product so much! Not only does it make your shelving look more modern and clean, but it also does a great job hiding any damages or stains that are in your cabinets or shelves. Let me just tell you that my shelves are stained beyond repair and these babies help my OCD ass stay sane!
mDesign Toilet Bowl Plunger Set (White) - You already know I had to get an aesthetic plunger, LOL.
Arm & Hammer Baking Soda (Fridge-N-Freezer Pack) - It’s good to stock up on a bunch of these because you ideally want to use one per month! Baking soda is good to eliminate odors in both your fridge and freezer so that your food stays fresher for longer.
All-Purpose Stainless Steel Shower Squeegee - Ideal for those who have a glass shower stall. However, I definitely recommend getting this stainless steel shower squeegee because a lot of squeegees have horrible reviews and don’t work well. This one has been tested and approved by Mish herself ;)
DYMO Portable Label Maker With QWERTY Keyboard - This is like the holy grail product for home organizers and home decor enthusiasts everywhere. I am OBSESSED with this product and also find it a bit therapeutic to use as well! This label maker is perfect for labeling transparent food containers and bins for organizational purposes - I love using it to label my dry pantry ingredients and to organize the extra Poshmark clothes I am selling :)
Foldable Drawer Organizer Dividers - When I first moved to an apartment, I bought these because I thought they were pretty versatile. I currently use these dividers to store socks, intimates, and more.
iDesign InterDesign Mesh Laundry White Wash Bags - Don’t you just hate it when the padding of your sports bras become warped or you lose a few socks in the process of washing? Honestly, this is the best invention ever if you’re an OCD laundry gal like me. I love using multiple white wash bags to separate underwear, bras, sports bras, and socks!
Scotch Precision Ultra Edge Scissors - When you first move into a new home, you will UNDERESTIMATE just how much you need scissors in your life! And not just one pair - I’m talking MANY pairs! I currently have one order of three scissors and use ALL of them frequently, but I am honestly debating on purchasing a second order to have six in total!
