Travel-Friendly Skincare You Can Trust For Cold Travel Destinations
One of the best ways that I destress from work and life's problems is to take a weekend getaway to a city that isn't too far from home. Thus, I took up my friend's offer this weekend to visit Big Bear Lake in California because who can pass up gorgeous cabin vibes in the middle of the snowy outdoors? Although I didn't go skiing or snowboarding (which is the reason why a majority of people visit Big Bear), I definitely felt the chilly vibes kick into full gear as soon as I opened the car door. While everybody in my group hit the slopes, I chose to either shoot pictures around the cabin with my camera gear (shoutout to the self-timer option!) or catch up on work in the Airbnb cabin that we rented out. While I'm here, I wanted to share with you guys a few travel-friendly skincare products that I've used for months and some that I just started trying out. Thanks to these products, my skin still feels smooth and moisturized to the touch, even when braving the intense cold for the gram. So, let's get on with the skincare products!

Skin Authority: Acne & Oil Control
I just added Skin Authority's Acne & Oil Control to my morning skincare routine, and I have to say that it works like a charm. The consistency feels exactly like a toner and absorbs fairly quickly into my skin within seconds after application. If you don't know what a toner feels like, it pretty much has the same consistency as water.
After washing my face upon getting out of bed, I apply this product FIRST before applying any other skincare or makeup products on to my face. The Acne & Oil Control acts like a preemptive measure of protection for my face - it specializes in eliminating bacteria and decreasing inflammation.
CeraVe: Facial Moisturizing Lotion
When it comes to sunscreens, I absolutely cannot stand the products that feel sticky or chalky upon application. Luckily for me, I discovered CeraVe's Facial Moisturizing Lotion through my dermatologist and have been using it every day for two years so far. I always apply this product before putting on my makeup look for the day. Because it has the creamy consistency of lotion, my skin absorbs the product really well and I feel that this product offers two deals in one - SPF protection and moisturization. Consider me a lifetime fan of the product.
Bioderma: Sensibio H2O Biodegradable Facial Cleansing and Makeup Remover Wipes
Along with the first product that I mentioned in this blog post, I also added Bioderma's makeup remover wipes into my evening skincare routine recently. If you ask me, I actually prefer makeup wipes over makeup solution any day - I personally feel that they effectively remove more dirt and makeup in one use. This is a product that I can imagine using for years.
However, if we want to get super technical about my makeup removal process, I go through three steps in total. Although it's not pictured in this blog post, I use DHC's Deep Cleansing Oil to remove all of the heavy makeup products that sit on my skin. For a deeper cleansing, I would use the Bioderma makeup wipes as the second step towards cleaner skin. Then, I follow up with Botanics All Bright Soothing Eye Makeup Remover to eliminate any excess eyeshadow or foundation that may reside on the surface of my skin.
Instytutum: Cleansing Milk
Whether I'm taking a shower before bedtime or ready to hit the pillows, I use Instytutum's Cleansing Milk to clean my face of dirt and impurities after I've taken all of my makeup off (or didn't wear makeup that day to begin with). The product feels very gentle and lightweight, and I apply a dime-sized amount to my finger before lightly rubbing the product on to my face in circular motions. Then, I wash it off with lukewarm water. This is definitely a cleanser I have used for months, and can continue using for months after. After this cleansing step, I'm ready to moisturize!
Bioderma: Sebium Pore Refiner Corrective Care
After cleaning my face but before applying additional skincare products to my face, I apply this product to help shrink and clear my pores. The function of this product is pretty self-explanatory, but I have no complaints whatsoever.
Pixi Beauty: Rose Caviar Essence
Can I just say that this products smells SO damn good?! My face literally feels like royalty when I apply this baby on. Not only is this product super moisturizing, but it has such a mesmerizing floral scent that I'm obsessed with. I wish that it came in a bigger size because I swear I could use this product up within weeks!
BABOR: Soothing Cream Rich
I've used BABOR's products during a six-week trial in the past and can safely say that their products are QUALITY. For this blog post, I've compiled a list of travel-friendly skincare products, but trust me when I say that I also use their cleanser and microsilver concentrates from their DOCTOR RX collection. I didn't bring their Microsilver Concentrates on this particular trip since it was only a three-day trip, but these concentrates are definitely VERY travel-friendly in size (they come in tiny glass bottles!) and do wonders in moisturizing.
Specifically, BABOR's Soothing Cream Rich is packed with ingredients that lead to healthy, moisturized skin, but I will say that this product leaves your face looking very dewy by the end of your skincare routine. If you don't mind the dewiness, then this product is for you. All in all, BABOR is definitely one of my favorite skincare brands of all time.
Instytutum: Eye Cream
I've been using Instytutum's eye cream for months, and I can't ever imagine not using it before bedtime! When applying eye cream, you want to use your fourth finger (ring finger) and gently pat the cream under your eyes on the eyebags section. Also, I heard that you can also apply eye cream on your eyelids as well - doesn't hurt to add moisturize extra, am I right? Since the eye area is very delicate, you want to be very careful and gentle with this area of your skin, and avoid roughly or aggressively applying any creams to this area. I can definitely consider this eye cream to be a winner in my books.

Much Love,
